Attorneys in the firm’s Antitrust Group authored the American Bar Association’s Hawai‘i Chapter, State Antitrust Practice and Statutes in recent editions. We frequently speak at antitrust law seminars on civil practice and procedure, and have developed training programs for antitrust compliance.

- Compliance Counseling – Routinely advising and assisting clients with antitrust aspects of business relationships and transactions, antitrust implications of pricing strategies, consumer relations, business decisions, and other antitrust issues.
- Civil Litigation – Representing oil companies, insurance companies, drug manufacturers and others in price-fixing cases brought by the Hawai‘i Attorney General and by private litigants. Defending shippers, airlines, automobile dealerships, retailers, and others in cases alleging monopolization, unfair methods of competition, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and price discrimination, including consumer class actions.
- Civil Investigations – Assisting numerous companies in responding to requests from the Department of Justice and the Hawai‘i Attorney General’s office.
- Criminal Matters – Defending clients such as wholesale produce dealers and refuse-hauling industry members in price-fixing investigations brought by the Department of Justice.
