Walter K. Coronel

Practicing law in Hawai‘i is kind of like working at Disneyland, but with a little more paradise.

Walter helps clients navigate the complex world of technology an intellectual property.

As a lawyer with a science degree in electrical engineering and computer science, he advises clients in using technology in business. Walter advises clients in information technology (IT), business on the Internet (eCommerce), marketing and branding, licensing, acquisition and sale of technology and intellectual property, technology litigation, and due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.

In art and entertainment, Walter counsels clients in agreements for art, filming, photography, personal appearances, sports, right of publicity and in the defense of claims of violation of copyright.

As a registered patent attorney, Walter regularly counsels clients in negotiation of agreements, portfolio management and litigation over intellectual property, whether focused on patents, or such critical intellectual property as trademarks, copyrights or trade secrets.

Take the “l” out of “Walter” and you get “water” – and that is where you can find him, either stand-up paddling, surfing or kayaking.
