The reasons I came back to Hawai‘i after college were to receive a wonderful legal education from an up-and-coming law school and to be near family. The reason that I have stayed in Hawai‘i is the joy that comes from practicing law and living in a multicultural and tolerant environment.

Eric has been twice-awarded “Lawyer of the Year – Trusts and Estates Litigation” by Best Lawyers in America for Honolulu, is listed in Hawaii Super Lawyers, and has earned an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell law directory. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a court appointed member of the Committee on Uniform Probate Code and Probate Court Practices, and teaches “Estate Planning Workshop” at the University of Hawaii’s Richardson School of Law.

Eric focuses his practice on everyday estate planning for Hawai‘i residents and guiding fiduciaries and beneficiaries through the complexities of probate and trust law in Hawai‘i. He counsels clients regarding fiduciary duties and liabilities, always striving to first resolve disputes before they get out of hand. Where necessary, he zealously represents clients in probate court in connection with probate and trust disputes.
