Asako Shimazu concentrates her practice in captive insurance, insurance regulatory law, immigration, general business and real estate.
Born and educated in Japan, Asako often assists Japanese speaking clients in various captive insurance, transactional and litigation matters. She has experience in business contracts, small and large commercial real estate transactions, corporate immigration matters including work authorizations and immigrant visas.
Asako actively participates in seminars held in Japan that discuss captive insurance, including those organized by Hawaiʻi Captive Insurance Council.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Asako’s fitness routine is as varied as her law practice – she enjoys swimming, cycling, running, hiking and Ashtanga yoga. Her determined spirit also comes through in her activities as she has completed many triathlons including the full Ironman distance triathlons!
